When we met Kim and Michael to begin planning their wedding at Larkspur Restauraunt in Vail, Colorado we knew we needed to know about how they met, how Michael proposed the overall feel of the wedding.
Kim and Michael met on the dating app, Hinge. They talked for a few weeks prior and then met at a bar for drinks. Kim was running late so Michael almost gave up, but he waited it out and there was instant chemistry. So much so that they created a de facto bar crawl that night through other bars in Dallas and had a great first date. When Michael knew Kim was the one, Michael planned them and Kim’s parents to have drinks at the Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch in Beaver Creek during sunset. He went inside after they arrived to “change their dinner reservation” but really he was coordinating inside. Shortly after, he took Kim to a pretty look out spot and proposed! They celebrated with drinks and dinner at the hotel afterwards. Let the planning begin!
Kim’s vision for her wedding design was Fun, elegant, romantic, ethereal, intimate! Her colors for the wedding consisted of Neutral, neutral, neutral! Whites, creams, ivory, gray or beige, gold, etc. Taking advantage of colorful Colorado when outside. Vail, Colorado lush in the summer and did not want any bold colors in her design elements.
Some of Kim’s favorite nights out are group dinners at fun restaurants, possibly followed by a fun bar – it’s no wonder Larkspur in Vail, CO was the perfect fit for their wedding day! Kim loves really good food and wanted a really fun band, it was important to her that her guests always had a fun time.

The review:
“I could not recommend KKWE more. From my first call with KKWE, I knew I wanted to work with them and I can honestly say that I am sad to no longer have an excuse to talk to her weekly/daily. Kelly and her team are so professional, skilled and amazing at what they do… it’s honestly hard to describe. I have been a bridesmaid in so many weddings, and have attended so many weddings, and the organization and elegance of our wedding was just so beyond…. absolutely no detail was forgotten…and I am a Type-A attorney, so I know my details! Plus, Brittany was super collaborative and I loved working with her on design choices (and also deferring to her when I knew she knew best). I really enjoyed working with the KKWE team throughout the entire process, and would have 100% recommended them at any point in the process… but it was the last 24 hours where their skills and value just exceeded all expectations I ever had. Rain threatened our wedding day and we had to make the call to move our dance floor/reception space inside the venue at 5 pm the night before the wedding. Beginning 24 hours before game time, the lead planner worked with all of our vendors to completely transform the inside of the venue for an indoor dance area/reception space and I honestly don’t think guests even knew it was ever supposed to be outside. Not only was it gorgeous (when our photographer said “I’ve seen Plan B spaces and that is NOT a Plan B space, I knew we were good), but I didn’t have to worry about any of it, and was able to just trust that her team had it covered while I focused on everything else on my wedding day… and they truly did. Plus, I think it worked out better than it would have outside! I honestly could go on and on. All of our wedding dreams came true and I have no doubt it all started with Kelly and her team. HIRE THEM!!!“
