  1. 1. KKWE: When you’re working on a wedding or event, how do you usually interact with the other vendors? What is your experience working with Kelly Karli Weddings and Events?

Cat Mayer: I view myself as a member of the Bride & Groom’s vendor team. We are all working together on the wedding day to do the best job possible for our clients. I try to be as helpful to other vendors as I can, knowing that sometimes that means staying out of their way! When I’m lucky enough to work with Kelly Karli Weddings, I can count on an expertly coordinated and stress-free day with the freedom to concentrate on my work.

2. KKWE: How would you describe your style or aesthetic?

Cat Mayer: Natural! I utilize everything natural — the couple and their interactions with each other, the mountains, the light, and the complete happiness that swirls around everyone on a wedding day.

3. KKWE: What or who inspires you in life and in your work?

Cat Mayer: I am lucky to be surrounded by love from my family in my life. They are my greatest inspiration to make photographs that reflect love and joy.

4. KKWE: How would you describe your creative process?

Cat Mayer: I take cues from the couple and become part of the rhythm of their day. Every couple and wedding day is unique, and I honor that above all.

5. KKWE: What’s your favorite way to unwind?

Cat Mayer: I love a long, sweaty trail run! My idea of the perfect getaway is backpacking to a secluded wilderness spot with my family and a wide-angle view of the Milky Way.

6. KKWE: If you weren’t a photographer, what would you want to do?

Cat Mayer: Probably landscape design. I love flowers and I love being outside!
