- 1. KKWE: Tell us a little bit about yourself and your business?
Guy Adams: I’ve been in the food & beverage industry most of my career. I started off as a restaurant manager, then I started a beverage manufacturing & marketing company, and most recently, I spent several years as a F&B franchise consultant. I was looking to take my previous experience, and bring a new, fun brand to Colorado, with The Dapper Doughnut. What sets The Dapper Doughnut apart, is our fresh-baked doughnuts. We fresh bake our doughnuts as they are ordered at our kiosk and when we do on-site catering. We are able to bring our doughnut machine to your event and make doughnuts right there for your guests.
2. KKWE: When you’re working on a wedding or event, how do you usually interact with the other vendors? What is your experience working with wedding planners?
Guy Adams: Being in the service industry for so many years, I understand the value & benefit of respecting everyone’s craft and time. As vendors, we are all brought in to create a truly unique experience. The Dapper Doughnut caterers will show up early, and set-up quickly and efficiently, to be ready to serve your guests. We will work with your clients, and other vendors, to create a perfect backdrop that compliments your theme and style.
3. KKWE: How would you describe your style or aesthetic?
Guy Adams: The Dapper Doughnut is a fun concept that makes hand-crafted doughnuts with enchanting toppings, where we are committed to giving exceptional service and creating smiles in every doughnut, cup of coffee and doughnut milkshake we serve.
4. KKWE: What or who inspires you in life and in your work?
Guy Adams: My wife inspires me in life and work. She runs her own employment law firm dedicated to employee rights and workplace fairness. She has dedicated her career to giving people a voice & fighting for their rights. I strive to bring that same passion to my life and work, and embrace every day like she does.
5. KKWE: How would you describe your creative process?
Guy Adams: I always ask myself, “would this WOW my customers?”, and “would this WOW me?”. That is how I approach every doughnut I serve and every event I set up.
6. KKWE: What’s your favorite way to unwind?
Guy Adams: My 5-year old son loves all things Pokemon, so he and I go for walks, playing Pokemon and go and try to catch as many as we can! You also can’t go wrong with a cup of our amazing Dapper Doughnut coffee and a patio chair as a way to unwind!
7. KKWE: If you weren’t a Doughnut Maker, what would you want to do?
Guy Adams: I always wanted to be an actor, but I’m happy to bring people smiles by serving them amazing mini doughnuts!
