Vendor Spotlight! Bramley Productions Cinematography

July 14, 2016

Cinematography at weddings is increasing in popularity, and for good reason! While timeless photos are essential for any wedding, a short video recapping the day brings the unforgettable moments to life for years to come. Chris Bramley at Bramley Productions’ fresh, journalistic style has captured the attention (and hearts!) of couples from across the globe for going on six years. On this week’s vendor spotlight, we asked Chris a few questions to get to know him better!

KKWE: Tell us a little about yourself and Bramley Productions!
Chris Bramley:  I started my business in 2010 as a wedding photographer. I loved (and still love!) the idea that I can be creative and also have a personal connection with my clients on one of the biggest days of their lives. I soon found that people were responding even more to my cinematography work, so I decided to focus on that. After shooting almost 300 weddings, I feel I’ve really developed my style, and take pride in making my couples happy when they see the finished product.

KKWE:  How would you describe your style and aesthetic?
CB: I would say my style is both intimate and cinematic. I really strive to make couples feel comfortable because, 1.) I know it’s hard to be on camera, and 2.) it provides me with the best footage.

KKWE: Who or what inspires you and your work?
CB: Music really inspires most of my work. I search for music constantly, and I love the moment when I can say, “Yes! This music fits this couple perfectly!”

KKWE: How would you describe your creative process?
CB: I have a method for shots that I must capture to create a story, but I also try to mix in new shots to keep myself creatively stimulated and my work dynamic.

KKWE: What is your favorite way to unwind?
CB: Making a fire and playing my guitar.

KKWE: If you weren’t a cinematographer, what would you want to do?
CB: I think I’d like to be a yoga instructor or coach.
